Quarters for the European staff and also for the Chinese workers are provided as part of the installation.
The Chinese quarters is a single story reinforced concrete building shown in the right foreground of photo No. 2 and is large enough to house comfortably the Chinese staff in accordance with present day requirements.
The European quarters consist of a two-storey building with a two-car garage adjacent to it. Each floor is a complete self-contained flat unit comprising a large living room, with
dining room extension separated from it by a double folding door.
A large completely equipped kitchen is conveniently placed behind the dining room and the ample servants' rooms and store is reached through this kitchen.
The three bedrooms of the flat are separated from the living room section by a large corridor. The master bedroom has its own attached bathroom while the two smaller bedrooms share another bathroom immediately across the passage way. A hot room for drying clothes in wet weather also forms part of the amenities.
