Diethelm's vertical centre pivoted aluminium windows are anodised in black in order to provide an attrac- tive contrast. Diethelm also supplied and installed the aluminium glass screens with Swiss-made armourplated glass doors for the main entrance.
By utilising a central core for all services the surrounding office areas are column free and compactly planned. Simplicity in appearance, efficiency and flexibility in design and quality of workmanship has been consciously sought during the plan- ning and construction.
The entire structure is reinforced concrete throughout on precast con- crete piles. External "window walls” are in anodised aluminium framing with lightweight insulating panels to the lower portion of windows.

Floors are projected from the office areas and support the anodised aluminium sun Screen
well providing permanent and safe plat- forms for maintenance work. The sun screening together with the tint- ed glass provides for adequate day- lighting to the office areas and eliminates the effects of sun glare without obliterating the fine view of the surrounding country.
The air conditioning system con- sists of a water cooling plant on the roof operated by a centifiugal com- pressor, the first of its kind in the Federation. supplying chilled water to air handling units placed in the service core on each floor.
Floors are divided into four zones to allow for the differential heat load on the building which by its nature has two sides in the sun and two in the shade.
Two passenger lifts are installed and a book-and-file lift. These serve all floors. The book lift has an automatic discharge device which delivers the files etc. into trays on the appropriate floor.
