The absence of all protruding columns from the walls, the elimination of all beams hanging from ceilings and the concealing of ali electrical and other services in the walls has resulted in inside surfaces of clean line and unimpeded areas, by taking advantage of whicn the residents have succeeded in obtaining some excellent interior decorative effects.
All the interior woodwork, the parquet floors, the teak- faced slab doors set in neat, plain frames, and the window cilis and pelmets were sanged and waxed in their natural colour. This finish bends excellently with any colour scheme selected for a room and repays many fold in richness of tone and effect the care and ehorts expended in main- taining it.
