Interior Design Highlights New Bank Premises
Architect:- Mr. Robert Fan, B. Sc., B. Arch.
The interior design of the recently- opened Hong Kong branch of the Banque Nationale Pour Le Com- merce et L'Industrie, in the new Central Building, is typical of the imaginative approach of architect, Mr. Robert Fan, Jr., who is respon- sible for the design of the whole work.
Keynotes of the design are ત module systern to give an articulate pattern, and a dramatic visual con- trast secured by white columns and dark panelling.
The module system has been em- ployed throughout the whole bank- ing hall in sizing the wall panels and partitioning, as well as floor pattern divisions, in order to keep the banking layout cleanly dignified and positive in character.
