On Queen's Road Central there are 3 number of large projects now in course of construction or being planned, and one of these is the Yu To Sang Building, former ly occupying No. 37 Queen's Road Central and Nos. 1, 3. 5 Chiu Lung Street. The area of the site is 5.311 sq ft. with a front age of 49'6" along Queen's Road Central and just over 110' along Chiu Lung Street. The building itself, a reinforced concrete structure, will be 12 storeys high plus a mezzanine floor and a full basement. A feature of the planning is the fact that it will be one of the very few buildings in Hong Kong that is completely air-condi- tioned throughout. In order to economize on the cost of operation and to increase the efficiency and flexibility of the air conditioning plant, the building has been divided into three zones each with its own separate plant, two of which will be locat- ed in the basement and one on the roof. In the basement, in addition to the area
