Features include in-line transmis- sion with constant mesh gearbox, only five greasepoints and fingertip control hydraulic tipping through twin 2 5/8 in, diameter rams.
Skip capacity is: water level 32 cu. ft.; struck level 40 cu. ft.; and heaped level 45 cu. ft. The dumper, which has
an unladen weight of 29 cwt 3 qrs., has twin-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine, giving a maximum forward speed of 12 m.p.h. and maximum in reverse of 3.2 m.p.h.
FLOODLIGHTING
A new portable floodlighting unit is so compact and light that when dis- mantled it can be carried by two men and transported in an estate car. De- spite its compactness however, the equipment can illuminate a rectangular site of up to 1200 sq. yd.

generator frame forming a unit only 5 ft. 4 in. long, 1 ft. 6 in. wide and 1 ft. 11 in. high. Total weight of the equip- ment is about 125 lb.
By utilising the generator and its outriggers which fit into slots at the base of the lighting mast, the unit is
fully stable when in operation and is able to withstand wind gusts of up to 50 m.p.h.
The mast comprises four alumini- um alloy sections which slot together. Its minimum operational height is 10 ft. and its maximum 20 ft. The genera- tor unit consists of a four-stroke single-cylinder petrol engine with re- coil start driving a 1250 W, 110 V or 240 V 50 Hz, single-phase alternator.
The floodlight itself comprises a 1000 W tungsten-halogen lamp housed in a waterproof, cast-aluminium reflec-
tor.
