beams at ground level are six 1 in. reinforcing bars.
The assembly hall measures 50 ft. wide by 73 ft. long. It has a stage at one end with a revolving screen partition, and changing rooms and toilets on each side. Natural light- ing is provided by the side windows at ground and second floor level, by side openings running the length of the upper play area and by glass blocks, imported from England, and used in the ceiling to give a starlight effect,
The whole project, supported by an interest-free loan from the Gov- ernment Education Department, took 10 months to construct. Site work, piling and reinforced concrete found- ation work was completed in 41 months and the superstructure in six months.
