Accommodation

The accommodation in the build- ing, which will be of reinforced con- crete construction, is divided as fol- lows:

Ground floor: An open area to be used as a covered playground and parking space.

First floor: An auditorium with a level floor, adaptable for use as an examination room or for dances.

Mezzanine floor: Auditorium, en- trance hall with space for school per- sonnel to work, and music room. The two auditoriums will accommodate about 1,200 schoolchildren,

Third floor: Schoolchildren's handi- craft exhibition ball. biological museum and further rooms for music- al training.

Fourth floor: Library and offices. The north and east elevations are protected from the sun by a series of bris-soliel.

The original budget for the build- ing was five million bahts, but this was later reduced to three million bahts. Studies are now being made to reduce the cost of the building. but construction work is expected to begin this year.
