R. H.S.

the new shapes in steel from Stewarts and Lloyds

ARE PRODUCTIVE

R.H.S. means Rectangular Hollow Sections. These new shapes in steel speed construction. They have the necessary strength but not the usual high weight.

R.H.S. have more scope in design as well as in engineering. Used unclad, they blend with archi- tecture and background. Or they can be easily and effectively clad in any of a wide variety of materials.

R.H.S. outdate traditional joists and girders. This can already be seen in 61 countries where footbridges. cranes. conveyors. air terminak, schools and all kinds of fabrications incorporate these new shapes in steel.

The details of R.H.S. would make profitable reading for all architects, engineers, and equip- ment fabricators.
