Dining room

Terrace and bar

sions, accented by an antique chan- delier.

The dining room features a low hand-carved sideboard along the main wall. When the room is com- pletely lighted, the intricate carvings of the dining furniture are stressed. Floor-to-ceiling drapery provides a neutral background for the room decor.

In the family room, simply- arranged furniture pieces provide convenient television viewing. Stereo and TV sets are contained in a long, low console cabinet. A Chinese carpet is laid on parquet flooring. Glass cur- taining subdues the natural lighting.

Venetian gallet flooring is used in the playroom-bar-den combine. Re- cessed lighting is fitted and an alum- inium-framed glass sliding door gives a view of the covered rear terrace and garden.

With gold and white motif, the master bedroom is adorned by a yellow gold custom rug. Floor-to- ceiling drapery balances with twin tables and lamps, and a wrought iron lamp serves as the single lighting fixture.

East of the house beyond a cover- ed terrace, the swimming pool is equipped with a stainless-steel ladder and diving support, fibre glass spring board, and four underwater lighting fixtures. The wall finish is 1 in. dia- meter hand laid white gravel and the promenade around the pool has a washout pea gravel finish.

By cutting and filling the site, a basement area has been included. The ceiling is Sft. high and the wall finish is water-proof concrete, with acacia wood panelling on one side. Floor finish is of cut mountain stone (Venetian gallet) in 50 cm. by 50 cm. tile form to blend with the garden setting.
