This offers to the foam manufacturer the advantage to obtain all the necessary requirements from one source:

besides the starting materials, *DESMODUR polyisocyanates and *DESMOPHEN polyethers or polyesters, and auxiliaries such as catalysts etc., complete foaming equipment from large-scale units for the production of slab stock to small foaming machines, and, more- over, thorough know-how along with regular technical service based on a wealth of practical experience, for Bayer has been the first company in the world to develop the polyaddition process for polyurethanes.

Many foam manufacturers throughout the world were quick to recognize the outstanding advantages and manifold possibilities offered by MOLTOPREN and they have been successfully pro- ducing MOLTOPREN by the BAYER system for quite some time

now.

MOLTOPREN is being used, for instance, as a flexible foam MOLTOPREN S (polyester based) or MOLTOPREN T (polyether based) for all kinds of upholstery applications including automobile seats etc., for mattresses, for foambacked textiles etc., as a rigid foam MOLTOPREN H for all kinds of insulating applications (refrigeration equipment, piping, ships, etc.), for structural units of various types, for packing purposes etc.
