HONG KONG AIRCRAFT ENGINEERING COMP

In order to meet the increasing need for the maintenance of large aircraft at Kai Tak Air- port, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd., has ordered the construction of a new Hangar.

The hangar which is pictured above is 200 ft. deep and has a clear door opening 400 ft. wide by 48 ft. high. Twelve hundred tons of

structural steelwork have been incorporated in its construction.

The design and supply of all materials was undertaken by Messrs. Redpath Dorman Long Ltd, as Main Contractors and the whole has been erected by Gammon (Hong Kong) Ltd. who also constructed the foundations.
