The additional post of Administrative Officer is required for the Plover Cove Water Scheme. An additional post of Estate Surveyor is to provide an assistant to the Senior Estate Surveyor in Head- quarters. The new post of Senior Land Assistant is due to the amalgamation of District Office Sai Kung and District Office Islands to form the District Office South and is offset by one post of Land Assistant. The new posts of Cartographic Assistant are the result of a change in nomenclature of Drawing Office grades and are offset by the reduction of Map Draughtsman posts as indicated. The additional 8 posts of Area Officer Class II are required to maintain squatter patrols in the Yuen Long District.
