One post of Confidential Assistant, three posts of Interpreter/Translator, eight posts of Clerk, two posts of Court Reporter and additional menial staff have been provided to cope with the increased volume of work. The four new posts of Houseboy, Boy, Cook and Amah are provided for the Chief Justice's official residence. Two supernumerary posts of Court Reporters are provided to cover the secondment of one officer to the Salaries Commission and the leave prior to resignation of another officer.
These changes, together with normal increments, account for the increase of $257,600 in the vote for Personal Emoluments.
