(a) Took note of a telegram from C.-in-C.

Hong Kong to H.M. Ambassador in

Chungking stating that the Sunderland aircraft had now been released from

Hainan but suggesting that the Chinese should be pressed for

emergency facilities to be available at Samar for aircraft that might be forced to land there in similar circumstances;

(b) Took note that the Air Staff would

take up with the Foreign Office the question of the detailed facilities required in Chinese territory.
