In discussion, it was agreed that a telegram should be despatched to General Carton de Wiart asking him to support the Ambassador in securing the release of the aircraft and crew.
THE COMMITTEE:
Took note of the information
contained in the telegram from the C-in-C. Hong Kong, and instructed the Secretary to despatch a telegram to General Carton de Wiart supporting the Ambassador's approach to the Chinese Authorities for the release of the aircraft.
