of a despatch which we have received Sir Hark Young on events in Hong Kong immediately before its capture by the Japanesë, The substance

of it was given to us earlier in this war through a naval officer who leamt it by heart and here is the full text in writing. We should be grateful if you could let other interested departments in the War office see the despatch and let us know your views on the advisability of publication subject to Sir Mark Young himself giving his agreement.
