(b) The Chiefs of Staff should assume control

as soon as the situation permits.

Recommendation

12.

We recommend that; -

(a) The draft telegrams annexed should be

despatched to S.A.C.S.3.A. and the Joint Staff Mission, Washington.

(b) The Foreign Office should be given a

copy of this paper and should be informed that liaison with Chungking will continue to be effected by the Chiefs of Staff until the arrival in Hong Kong of forces from South East Asia Command. Thereafter, the liaison will be effected by S...C.S.H...
