The Swiss Consul General General Shanghai, reports that a number of British enterprises there have been taken over by the Japanese and that in some cases British subjects formerly employed in these concerns have been invited to continue their employment.

The British Residents Association wish to know 1942if His Majesty's Government object to the acceptance
