the second paragraph since I did not suggest waiving
of visa requirements on Chinese passports. however, your Government is prepared to accept

reciprocal waiving of visas, I should like to put the suggestion to the Chinese Government as soon as possible. Would you require reciprocity in favour of British residents of Hong Kong, or of all British
subjects arriving in China viâ Hong Kong?
