Identifications from local Japanese press shows

that force which occupied SHAUCHENG yesterday was part of

124th Infantry Regt. Colonel NOMIZO. Other names

mentioned are ISHIHARA, KATO and NAGAO probably battalion

or company commanders. This affords additional

confirmation that Japanese force operating along frontier

is all or part of 35th Infantry Brigade under Major

General HARA (MAMORU). No confirmation report of units

Guards Brigade. Singapore for G.S.0.1. (Intelligence)

Far East. Shanghai for Intelligence Shanghai.
