Steps in hand, with the concurrence of the Executive Council and informal approval of the Finance Committee, for purchase of reserves supplementary to rice reserve up to the value $1,000,000. Purchases envisaged are:-

25,000 piculs yellow soya beans $287,000 10,400 lbs powdered milk $20,000
Your covering approval for this expenditure
is sought under Colonial Regulation No. 265.
