Political, financial and economic situation at Hong Kong.

In reply to question Mr. G. Hall stated that while evacuation and other measures taken in Hong Kong have caused some disturbance population is in excellent heart. Trade statistics and revenue figures are buoyant. Government has also improved position of its liquid reserves. Cost of living still shows upward trend caused by circumstances beyond our control and in particulars by uncertainty of situation in neighbouring territories.
