Misui Bussan Kaisha are again enquiring for 100 tons nickel for new coins previously produced in Shanghai for Hua Hsing Bank. It seems unlikely Bank would be able to obtain their requirements from other sources.
2. Imperial Chemical Industrials informs me that this quantity would produce over 270 million 5 cent coins 3 grams composed of 75% copper and 25% nickel. Bussan Kaisha informed them last year that 20 minting presses
They add that Mitsui had been ordered from Japan.
