Text of telegram No.189 of the 20th June addressed to Hongkong intimating that Misui Bussan Kaisha are again enquiring for 100 tons of nickel for new coins previously produced in Shanghai for Hua Hsing Bank. Imperial Chemical Industries state that this quantity would produce over 270 million 5 cent coins 3 grams Composed of 75 copper and 25 nickel. They added that Mitsui Bussan Kaisha informed them last year that 20 hinting presses had been ordered from Japan.
Enquires if he is right in assuming that Governor would like him to discourage this business.
