Letter sent by Sir Henry Pollock to President Roosevelt Transmits information that a letter was sent to Pres- ident Roosevelt on 20th September by Sir Henry Pollock, who subscribed himself as the Senior Unofficial Member of the Executive and Legislative Councils of Hong Kong. Letter is diatribe against Japanese and appeals to the President to save British interest in the East and Hong Kong in particular from bombing.
Sir Geoffrey Northcote, Governor of Hong Kong, des- ires it to be known that he was ignorant of letter until mid-October, and would have done everything to prevent its despatch.
