ARTICLE 10.

New paragraphs (2) and (3) :-

(2). A person who intends to proceed outside the territory (except to Japan and Manchoukuo) and to take thither with him Japanese currency, Manchoukuo currency, foreign currency, a remittance, or a letter of credit (including travellers' cheques, and similarly hereinafter) shall, at the time of his departure, submit a report, as provided elsewhere, to the Ambassador through the Kwantung Government office.

(3). Japanese bank notes and Manchoukuo currency notes of one hundred yen denomination may not be sent or taken outside the territory (except to Japan or Manchoukuo) without the permission of the Ambassador.

The expression "foregoing Article" is amended to read "Article 3" : in the proviso the expression "Subsection (vii)" is amended to read "Subsection (vi)":

Subsection (iii) is amended to read as follows, and subsection (iv) is deleted.

(111). When it is necessary for a person proceeding outside the territory to take with him for his travelling expenses a sum which, together with any letter of credit he has acquired (other than a letter of credit acquired in accordance with the provisions of Article 10, subsection (111)), does not exceed five hundred yen in Japanese currency, Manchoukuo currency, foreign currency, or a remittance.

Subsection (v) is re-numbered (iv) and in that subsection the phrase remittance or letter of credit" is amended to read "Japanese currency, Manchoukuo currency, foreign currency, remittance, or letter of credit" and the phrase

one thousand yen" tó read "five hundred yen".

Subsection (vi) is re-numbered (v) and so on serially.

Subsection (ii) is amended to read as follows:

(ii). When a letter of credit for the travelling expenses of a person proceeding outside the territory is acquired of an amount which, together with any Japanese currency, Manchoukuo currency, foreign currency or remittance which the said person may take with him, does not exceed five hundred yen.
