7th March, 1939,
Dear Broadmead,
I have now made the follow ing additions to the
extended list of Chinese Govemment Official and Sem 1 --
official offices in Hongkong, a copy of which was enclosed
in my letter to you, 3/0 4 of the 27th February 1839:-

6 Des Voeux Road, C,
Bank of Canton Build ing,
First Floor.
Item (9) on the list is merely the longkang branch of the
Bank of China, and I have made a no te against that item
in my copy to see item (30). The Head Office of the
Bank of China is in chrge of P'ei Tsu-yee who, as you
know, was formerly in charge of the office in Shangha 1.
He works in a small room next to the rooms occupied by
T.V. Goong, I understand that he and Soong are concerned
principally with currency matters. His desk, when Rob
Scott and I called on him the other day, was piled with
correspondence headed in Chinese "Head Office of the Bank
of China.**

(31) Foreign Trade Commis si on of the National
Goverment of the Republic of China,
(Fa Hus)
