Public Affairs Division of State Department have asked to be informed urgently of official and publicity lines taken by the British Authorities in London and Hong Kong about the official protest (reported from Tokyo) by the Chinese Communist Government at the alleged persecution of Chinese in Hong Kong. They will also give favourable consideration to any line or comment you may wish to suggest, particularly for Voice of America.
