Bases and Establishments.

The

The Rear Admiral, Landing Craft and Bases (R. A. L.B.) is responsible to the C.C.0. for the naval administration of all bases and establishments under C. C. Q's command, Senior Naval Officer, Combined Operations (S.N.O. C.0.) at each of these bases and establishments deals with routine questions of naval administration in so far as possible through the normal local channels.

Ships and Craft (other than T. L. C.)

Ships allocated for combined operational purposes, in the British Isles, and their associated landing and raiding craft may be organised into one or more groups. The allocations will be made in the usual manner by the Admiralty.

Senior Naval Officer, Landing, (S. N. O. L.) may be specially appointed on the Staff of the Force Commander to take charge of such ships. The administration of these ships will be carried out through the normal channels, i, e, H. M. Ships and all Naval craft and personnel within any group mentioned above by the C.C.0. through S.0.A. S.C., R. F. AS, by the Admiralty through S.0.A. S.C., and Merchant Navy ships by D. of S.T., through P. S. T.0. and D. S. T.O. appointed to the staff of S.0.A. S.C.

Any ships which are specifically allocated for training purposes will come automatically under the direct command of V.A.C.T.C. who will receive his orders from the C.0.0. Allocation of such ships will be made on representation of the C.0.0. through the Admiralty and D. of S.T.
