The following are the forecasts for 4.5" guns:
Programme guns completed.
Forecast No.225 issued on 15th May, 1940.
Forecast No.346 issued on 5th December, 1940.
Forecast No.359 issued on 11th January, 1941.

It will be seen that since May 1940, the completion of the programme has gone back from November 1940 to June/July, 1941, and even as recently as 11th January, 1941, the December forecast has been put back as much as two to three months.
There are 49 equipments due to complete programme.
Light Anti-Aircraft Production.
The production of 40 mm. equipments is now keeping pace with recent forecasts, thus between 130-140 equipments will be delivered in January against the 140 forecasted on 9th December and 130 on 9th January.

Failure in heavy anti-aircraft production resulted in the following allocations for January based on figures in C.0.S.(41)5 not being met.

It is recommended that these issues should be set
aside out of February production.

In view of previous shortages it is most important
that these figures should be maintained.
Allowing for the deficiencies mentioned in paragraph 2 to be made good, the following guns are available to meet new commitments in February.
