as generator sets and wiring, should be standardised as far as possible. A preliminary bulk order for these particular components has been placed and it must be clearly understood that their supply is the governing factor in the progress of the decoy work. Considerable delays in the completion of R.A.F. decoys have already occurred owing to the absence of authority for priority of supply of this equipment. It is therefore hoped that the Chiefs of Staff Committee will recommend the grant of Category 1A priority for the provision of generators, wiring and other materials required for decoys.

Ad Iralty
It is known that the War Office have considered and War
their policy in relation to Army decoys and that sites are Office Decoys now being surveyed.
It is understood also that the Admiralty are considering their policy, but no definite proposals have yet been put forward.

Summary.
To summarise, it may be said that, despite consider- able difficulty, a real start has been made. Co- ordination has been arranged; the War office and Admiralty are developing their policies and the former has commenced the search for sites. The R.A.F. programme is steadily progressing and results appear satisfactory. Sites for civil and oil fire decoys have been found and work on these will shortly commence.
