The average training requirements per month are 12 H. A.A, and 12 Light A.A. Guns. This allocation is required to provide training regiments and practice camps with about 75% of their scale of equipment. The actual
issues for September fell short by 11 H.A.A. and 8 L.A. A. guns from the approved allocation. It is recommended that should any surplus come forward in October that this shortage should be made up as far as possible after the other allocations have been met.
Home Forces,
During September it was agreed that 53 L.A.A. Regt. complete with 36 guns should be transferred from A. D. G. B. to Command of C.-in-C., Home Forces this transfer has been completed. The Chiefs of Staff at their meeting on the 28th September agreed that the 36 guns should remain under command of Home Forces and they also invited the Vice Chiefs of Staff when dealing with the October allocation to consider a token issue of Light A.A. Guns to Home Forces for training purposes every month. allocation of 8 light A.A. Guns is therefore suggested to meet this requirement.

The allocation to A.D.G.B. consists of 50 H.A.A. Guns. With regard to L.A. A. guns the Chiefs of Staff at their meeting on 28th September invited the Vice Chiefs of Staff to take into account the recent withdrawal of 36 L.A. A. guns from A.D.G.B. and to make compensation from new production- The issues proposed under Paragraph 3 above for Middle East are short of the average required under mix 3 to 0.0.S. (40) 692. This coupled with the higher output anticipated in October (viz. 15 guns) allows an increased allocation to be made to A.D.G.B. It will be seen that with the allocations detailed above, viz:-
