Note by the Joint Planning Sub-Committee submitting a Draft Report for the Chiefs

of Staff,

On the 12th June, the War Cabinet took note that the Chiefs of Staff:-

"In consultation with the Foreign Office were

studying from the Military point of view the policy to be adopted towards French Colonial possessions."

We submit the attached Draft Report which we have prepared in close collaboration with the Foreign Office, in fulfilment of these terms of reference.
