REVISED DRAFT MEMORANDUM.
The following Summary of Intelligence has been prepared for the information of the Commander-in-Chief, Home Forces. It supplements the comprehensive summary of likely forms and scales of attack přepared by the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee on 6th June, a copy of which has already been forwarded to the Commander-in-Chief, Home Forces. should be read in conjunction with a most secret Report, dated 26th May, 1940, which was submitted by the Chiefs of Staff to the War Cabinet. A copy of this paper is circu- lated herewith to the Commander-in-Chief, Home Forces.)
AIR ATTACK.
Objectives.

The main enemy objectives in the initial stages will probably be -
Aerodromes.
Ships at sea and in port.
Communications and facilities for inter-communication. Aircraft Industry, and other Munition Industries. Power Stations.
Actually during an attempt at seaborne invasion, however, the enemy is likely to attempt to isolate the area of his landings, and to prevent the movement of our reserves and supplies to the threatened point, by heavy air lombardment of road and rail communications leading to it.
Attempts will probably be made to lay mines off opera- tional ports and between the areas selected for landing and the flect bases.
Scale of Attack.

It is estimated that under average conditions the Germans could maintain a scale of night attack of the order of 400/500 combers per night.
