APPOINTMENT of Boundary CommimiONERS AND SIMPLIFICATION

OF ÁREAS.

As to Boundaries of Counties, go.

34. For the purpose of this Act and except so far as varied by 5 overtapping a scheme made under this Act, as herein-after mentioned, the

boundaries

of counties, following provisions shall have effect :—

(a.) Any borough or parish situate in more than one county shall form part of the county in which the larger part in extent of such borough has heretofore been situate;

(5.) Any part of a county detached from the body of a county shall form part of the county which such detached part adjoins, or if it adjoins more than one county, then of the county with which it has the longest common boundary.

85. (1.) For the purpose of regulating the boundaries of counties 15

(2.) The Commissioners appointed under this Act shall be styled "The Boundary Commissioners,” and shall have a common seal, of 25 which judicial notice shall be taken by all courts of Justice of the corporate seal of the Commissioners, and any order or other instru- ment purporting to be sealed with it shall be received as evidence without further proof.

(8.) The powers of the Commissioners shall be exercised within 80 three years next after the passing of this Act.

(4.) Any power or act by this Act vested in or authorised to be done by the Commissioners may be exercised or done by any two of them.

(5) An act or proceeding of the Commissioners shall not be 35 invalid by reason only of any vacancy in their body.
