Land Transfer.

Confirmation of Possessory Title.

4. Any person registered as proprietor of freehold land with a Application possessory title or qualified title, may apply to the Land Transfer Board for the confirmation of his title as an absolute title at the Board for

The application for the confirmation of title shall be accompanied 10 by an affidavit or declaration of the applicant in the prescribed form stating that the applicant has made due inquiry into his title, and believes that the confirmation of his title will not prejudice or affect the right of any other person to any estate or interest in the land.

Any person who knowingly and wilfully makes any false 15 affidavit, declaration, or statement of fact whatsoever for the pur- pose of procuring a confirmation of his title, shall be subject to the same pains and penalties as if ho were guilty of perjury.

7. Publication of such notice shall be made in the following ways and in such other ways (if any) as may be prescribed:

(1.) by advertisement in the London Gazette, and in such other newspaper or newspapers, not exceeding four, as the Land Transfer Board may prescribe; and

(8.) by placing a copy of the notice of the application on the church door of the principal church or one of the churches of the parish, or if the lands are situate in more than one parish, of each of the parishes in which the lands are situate, or on such building or place in the land transfer district in which the lands are situate as may be directed by the Land Transfer Board.
