(b) That it should be understood that
if the French Government were willing to adopt this suggestion the British Government would not oppose the French Government's wishes on the question of land armaments, notwithstanding that the French wished to exclude military reserves from limitation:
(c) That the First Lord of the Admiralty
should send to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs particulars of the actual proposal made by the French Naval Representative on the Preparatory Commission, for incorporation in the despatch to Lord Crewe:
(d) To take note that the Secretary of
State for Foreign Affairs had broached, in conversation with M. Briand, the question of some agreement in regard to the strength of the Air Force and had asked him to consider the possi- bility of a scheme for parity in metropolitan air forces between Great Britain, France and Italy, but that up to the present Sir Austen Chamberlain had received no answer.
