Quartering. The troops are quartered in barracks and under canvas; the larger proportion under canvas.

Reinforcements.-This Section can be quickly reinforced by Kowloon Reserves, and, if the attack is confined to the mainland, by Victoria Reserves.

Communications.-The several positions of the Section are in telephonic com- munication, and can also communicate by telephone with Victoria.

Food Supply. The food supply would be drawn from the mainland and from Victoria, whence the supply would be by launch from Commissariat Pier.

Dressing Station.--A dressing station will be formed at the Dockyard and the wounded sent thence to base hospital, Whitfield Barracks.

Attack. The most probable attack would be a raid on the Dockyard from the sea, supplemented perhaps by a land attack.

Additional Works.-Entrenchments on Mount Cochrane and on No. 12 Hill.
