WESTERN DIVISION.
Section I.
The position is divided into two. The advanced or Western position consists of Stone- Description of cutter West, South Shore Battery, Electric lights. Shelter-trenches to be made under position. Stonecutter West to guard against landing at the west, and posts on the high ground to the east of Stonecutter West to guard against the position being turned.
The Eastern position consists of the Central and Eastern Batteries, and shelter-trenches on the ridge between them to guard against landing with the object of destroying the cable trench.
