employment from the General Officer Commanding, but to simplify administrative work the Mainland Section Commander will be in administrative charge of all troops on the mainland, and the Island Section Commander in administrative charge of those at Taikoo Sanitarium, and the Volunteer Commandant will be in administrative charge of his own corps.

(3.) Orders for Hong Kong Police.

35. On Mobilization (war stage) being ordered, the Colonial Government will hand over to the Military Authorities 150 Indian Police with one European officer.

The O.C. British Battalion will detail a Captain to command this force, and the O.C. No. 1 Indian Infantry Regiment will detail "one Hindustani-speaking subaltern to serve with this force.

The O.C. the force will be designated Commandant of Police, he will make all necessary arrangements for rationing and equipping his men.

Headquarters of this police force will be at Victoria Barracks.

The police will take over the guards set forth in the following table :--
