(4.) Orders by Officer Commanding No. 1 Indian Infantry.
(i.) Precautionary Stage.
1. In accordance with Officer Commanding Island Section's orders ((3), paragraph 2, Chapter V) attached herewith, detachments of the regiment will move out, and take up the positions indicated for precautionary stage.
No. "Q" Double Company will detail half of his double company strength, 1 British Officer, 2 Indian Officers, and 95 rank and file, as part of the General Reserve, Taikoo Sanitarium, and this half company will find a guard of 7 meu on the Quarry Bay Docks, at the war stage these 7 men will be relieved by the Hong Kong Police.
2. The orders issued by Officer Commanding, Island Section, with reference to kits, rations, ordnance stores, &c., apply equally to the above half double company, which for administrative purposes will be under the Officer Commanding, Island Section.
3. Transport will be provided as follows :-

Surplus regimental baggage will be stored at Whitfield Barracks.
(ii.) War Stage.
4. In accordance with Officer Commanding Island Section's orders ((3), paragraph 12, Chapter V) attached herewith, the remainder of regiment will move out to positions indicated for war stage.
The remainder of No. "Q" Double Company will proceed to Taikoo Sanitarium and reinforce the General Reserve there, the whole being under the orders of the General Officer Commanding.
5. The orders issued by Officer Commanding, Island Section, with reference to kits, rations, orduance stores, &c., apply equally to Officer Commanding No. "Q" Double Company, which for administrative purposes will be under the Officer Commanding, Island Section.
6. Transport will be provided for No. “Q” Double Company, as under :—
