(3.) Orders by Officer Commanding Island Section.

(i.) Precautionary Stage.

1. The Island Section is divided into two sub-sections as under :-

No. 1 Sub-section.

(exclusive).

Area.

Western Boundary.-Victoria Gap (exclusive) to Sandy Bay

Eastern Boundary.-Mount Butler to south-west point of Tytam intermediate reservoir (exclusive) to Repulse Bay (exclusive).

No. 2 Sub-section.--All the country between the eastern boundary of No. 1 Sub- section and a line drawn from the summit of Mount Parker (exclusive) to Saiwan village (exclusive).

4. Troops other than Indian infantry will take with them kits for which coolie transport will be provided, and two days' rations, and will proceed to their destinations by route march. These rations are to be considered as an emergency ration.

Indian infantry detachments will take with them kits, seven days' rations, and such tents and entrenching tools as are held on regimental charge (according to lists in
