Pottinger Peak. Twenty-fourth inst. Seven-thirty A.M. Large bodies of enemy moving towards Stanley Bay. About 500 strong.

7. At the precautionary stage, the complement of stations in Section I will be attached to the troops in Mount Austin Barracks, fully equipped and ready to take up their stations. The stations in Section II will be attached to the headquarters of the troops called out in that section except the complement of Magazine Gap Station, who will proceed to the Sanitarium. The stations in Section III will be attached to Co., R.G.A., Lyemun Barracks, with the exception of the complement at Haiwan, which will be attached to the infantry detachment of the section. Stations in Section IV will be attached to the 2nd Indian Infantry Battalion. All stations enumerated in paragraph 5 will be established in working order during the precautionary stage. Officers Commanding sections will be responsible that the stations in their respective commands are rationed and equipped to enable signalling to be carried on throughout the precautionary stage.

8. The C.O.O. will place six heliographs and six signalling lamps complete at the disposal of the Brigade Signalling Officer, to be issued on his requisition.

(CCC.)-Action by Censor.

At the War Stage, or on previous Notification.

1. He will proceed to the premises of the Joint Telegraph Companies, hand his letters of authority to the General Managers, and report by telephone to the Major, General Staff, when he has assumed control.

2. He will distribute the censorship Staff for duty and to quarters as shown in Table C.

3. He will be guided in his duties of censorship by the orders issued to him by the| Major, General Staff, and will instruct his Staff in accordance with these orders.

4. He will impress on his Staff the necessity for secrecy, and explain to them the terms of the Official Secrets Act.

5. He will forward all telegrams of a suspicious nature to the Major, General Staff, for decision.

6. He will reside on the premises of the Joint Telegraph Companies, and not leave them except when temporarily relieved by the Senior Assistant Censor.
