1. This officer will act under the D.A.A.G., and receive orders from him.

2. He will arrange the signalling parties required by the various sections of the defence, and see that they are properly equipped.

3. He will take over regimental signallers from Os.C. inf. bns., and detail the parties to sections of the defence.

(C.)-Action by D.A.Q.M.G.

1. He will arrange with the civil authorities for the use of the Colonial telephones, and generally will have charge of all arrangements connected with obtaining and communicating intelligence.

2. He will detail the number of Chinamen to be employed as scouts and messengers between the outposts and headquarters of sections, and will arrange with the C.Ŏ.O. as to the provision of a distinctive uniform.

3. He will be primarily responsible for the censorship of all telegrams received in or sent out from the station, and will be regulated in his action by the "Rules for Censors in British Colonies and Protectorates," a copy of which will be furnished to him by the Governor on mobilization.
