Hong Kong's new international airport at Chek Lap Kok is about 33 kilometres from Central, and a variety of transport is available to suit timetables and budgets.

Less than 25 minutes separate the airport from Central on the

Airport Express. It stops only at Tsing Yi and Kowloon. The Tung Chung line is a little more leisurely, forming part of the MTR Corporation's North Lantau line. Fast, air-conditioned buses carry passengers to Kowloon,

the New Territories and Hong Kong Island on regular routes and specialised Airport Shuttles. The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (top right) goes on to the New Territories and beyond.
