Bisset & Co, in their Share Report for the week ending May 27th, state:- During the week under review Rubber stocks generally, with the exception of two newer Companies-Tebongs and Dominions-show a considerable rise, This and the fluctuations in Sumatra Tobacco shares have been the principal features in our market during the week. Banks. -Hongkong and Shanghai Banks. The market is steady at $1,010, Insurance. Yangtszes. Shares have fallen to $220, at which rate busi-ON ness has been effected and sellers offer shares. North-Chinas have been in demand at Tls. 104, hipping.-Indos have been placed at Tls, 52 for cash and Tla. 63 Tls ,53) and Tls. 55 for June delivery. At close there are buyers at Tls, 55 for cash and sales have again been effected at Tis. 56 for June. Shanghai Tuga. Ordinaries have been placed at Tis. 53 and 52). There are Buyers of preference shares at Tls. 53. Kochiea Tugs. Business is reported at Tls. 46. Docks and Wharves-Shanghai Dock and En- gineering Co. Shares have been placed at Tis. 84 for cash, Tls, 86 for June. Buyers offer Tls. 85 for cash. Shanghai and Hongkew Wharves. A considerable business has been done in shares during the week at rates ruling from Tis. 160 cash and Tls. 163. For June

Sugars.—Perak Sugar contina to advance and business is reported early in the week at Tis. 200, the market rising steadily to Tls. 226, Tls, 230, and to-day at closing sales have been effected at Tls. 250 for cash. Mining- Chinese Engineering and Mining. Shares are wanted at Tis. 171. Lands-Shanghai Lands have been placed at Tls. 119 and Tls. 120 and are wanted at Tls. 121. Anglo-French Lands at Tis. 104 and are wanted at this rate. Industrial, -Cotton Stocks. The market has been fairly quiet during the week. Ewos have been placed at Tla. 124 for June and at close there are sellers at Tis. 122 for cash and Tls. 123 for June. Laon Kung Mow's have been placed at Tls. 110 June, and Tls 108 for cash. The market closes

The market recovered on the 25th and business was done at Tls. 13) for cash. At close sales are reported for cash at Tls. 15. Sellers offer shares at this rate. Dominions have been quiet, sales are reported at Tls. 9. At this rate shares are offering, Major Bros. Shares have been placed at Tls. 521. China Flours are wanted at Tls. 36 for cash and Tls. 37 for June. Pulp and Paper. A sale is reported at Tls. 40 Maatschappji &c. in Langkat. The market has been quieter in this stock during the past week, and rates have remained fairly steady with sales for cash at Tls. 1,145, 1,150 and 1,170 for June. Yesterday shares were placed at Tls. 1,185 for June, and to-day cash shares changed hands at Tls. 1,130. Shanghai Sumatras. We have to report a considerable rise in this stock. Shares were eagerly enquired for both cash and time delivery during the week, and a sale was reported on the 25th at Tls. 142} for cash. The market opened to-day with buyers at TI. 150 for cash and TƖs. 153 for June resulting in business. At closing sales are reported at Tis. 160 for June, and there is a rumour of a aale at Ts. 160 for cash. Auglo-German Breweries have been placed at $75 at which rate there are buyers. Shanghai Electric Con- struction Co. Shares have changed hands at £11 78. 6d. for June. Shanghai Electric and Asbestos shares. A transaction took place at $23, at which rate shares are offering. Shanghai Mutual Telephones have been placed at Tis. 64 and are offering. Debentures.-Municipal per cent, debentures have been placed at Tis, 104).
