Ch na Lights have been dealt in to some extent at 54, to 6 olo si g with sellers at 6 and buyers at 53. Langkats have ruled rather wesket, closing with sellers in the North at 140. Union water Boats have found buyers and close in emand at 04.

Bisset & Co. in their Share Report for the week ending May 6th, state:- The Race Holidays have interferred with business during the past week, leaving us with only three days actual business to report, and again the special feature of this week's business has been in Langkat shares, which at closing show a continued rise." Hongkong and Shanghai Banks.-A sale is re- ported at $985, Insurance.-Yangtsze shares are offering at $235 for cash and North-Chinas are quoted at Tls 105 nominal. Shipping. Indo Chinas remain fairly steady, but at closing there are sellers at Tia, 69 cash and Tls. 60 for June, Shanghai Tugs are wanted Ordinaries at Tls ōn and Preference at Tls, 55. Kochins have bee 3 placed at Tls 44. Docks and Wharves.-Shanghai Duck and Engineering Co. shares have placed at Tls. 87 and Tls. 88 June, and at the close the market is quiet, the cash quotation being Tis. 85 and Tls. 87 June nominal, Shanghai & Hongkow Wharves Sales are reported in these at Tls. 167 June, The closing quotation is Tls. 167 sales for cash and Tls. 168 for June. Sugars.-Perak Sugars have been placed at Tls, 160 for cash. The market closing with sellers at this rate. Lands.-No Mining. No business to report. business reported. Shanghai Lands are wanted at Tls. 118. Industrial.-In Cotton Stocks. Ewos are quoted at Tls. 121 buyers, and Tls. 123 sales have been effected for June. Internationals, Tls. 92 nominal for cash and Tls, 94 sellers for June. Laou Kung Mows, Tls. 112 nominal and 114 sellers for June. Soy hees, Tls. 400 nominal. China Flours have been placed at Tls. 29. Shang- hai Gas have buyers at Tis. 113. Maatsch+ppij &c. in Langkats. The market opened on the 29th with sales at Tl. 1.060 for cash and Tls. 1,090 for une. On the 30th cash shares changed hands at Ts. 1,065 and Tls. 1067 with sales for June at Tls. 1,085 and Tis. 1,09, On the 1st at Tls. 1,100 June and Tls, 1085 cash. At closing business has been done at Tls. 1,150, 1,155, 1,160 with a direct quotation at Tls. 1,170 for June, and for September at Tls 1,200 and we her of trans- actions at Is. 1,230. Shanghai Sumatra are wanted at Tls. 130 for cash and Tis. 1324 for June. Anglo German Brewery Co. A small number of shares are wanted at $75.
