COTION MILLS.-We have no changes nor business to report under this heading.

MISCELLANEOUS.—Chins Borneos have been in demand during the week and the rate has im proved, after sales at 10 to 10 buyers, with no sellers at the rate China Providents continue in demand at 94, but are still without any business to report. Green Islands have been placed to s limited extent at 10, but sellers rule the market at time of closing. Union Water Boats have been done at 10, and more shares are wanted. Langka's have boomed in Shanghai to 870. We have a thing further to report under this beading.

Messrs. J. P. Bisset & Co. of Shanghai în their Share Report for the week ending November 12th, 1908, state:-The feature of the week under review has been the sensational rise in the prios of Maatschappij sto, in Langkat shares, which have appreciated since our last issue no leun then Tis. 50 per share. We have to admit we have not been able so far to ascertain Any genuine reason for this rapid advance. There has not been much attention paid to other stocks. Banks-Hongkong and Shanghai Banks are wanted at $8324. The T.T. rate on London to-day is 2/34. Marine and Fire Insurance.— There is no business reported. Shipping-Indo- China 8. N. Co., Ltd. We hear of a transaction at Tla. 38 for cash. In other stocks under this heading there is no change Docks and Wharveż. -Shanghai Deck and Engineering Co., Ltd. Shares are on offer at Tls. 81 for December.

Shanghai and Hongkow Wharf Company have. ruled somewhat easier. Cash shares are on the market at Tls, 154. For December sales have ben made at Tls. 157 and there are fu-ther sellers. Sugar Cos.--Perak Sugar Co. There is a transaction reported at Tls. 874. Mining.- No business. Lands. Shanghai Land Invest- ment Co., Ltd. Shares have changed hands at Tls. 116 and Tls, 117, Industrial-Ewo Cottons. There is no business reported; there are sellers for cash at Tla. 68, and for December åt Tis. 68). International Cottons have changed hands at Tls. 83 for December. Laou Kung Wows have been dealt in at Tls. 77 for. December and there. are sellers at this figure. Shanghai Gas Co. Shares are on offer at Tia. 1164. Maatschappij etc., in Langkats. A very considerable business has been done during the week at rates which since our last issue have shown a steady appre cition. The market opened with the cash rate at 'T'ls. 695, and Tle. 705 for December. Every day since has marked a rise, and it has been difficult to keep an exact track of the market. At closing we would quote the rates to-day as Tls. 745 for cash, Tla. 755 for December and for March shares have changed hands at Tls. 790, Shanghai Waterworks Co.
