FREIGHT.

Messrs. Wheelock & Co.'s Report of the 9th Nov., 1905, states:--The amount of cargo offering for the Continent remains about the same. For New York, via Suez, the last few boats have done very well, but from now on we look for a decrease in the amount of cargo going forward until the Winter season commences, as the Tea, is about finished. Coastwiso:-The market has shown a slight improvement since our last, owing mainly to the lack of small steamers, most of which have been taken up for Vladivostock. Coal rates have been as high as $1.75, and offers on this basis are still in the market, with almost no steamers to take advantage of them. Until the tonnage is released from Vladivostock the rates will probably continue to improve.
